What are these movie things?
The other day I was cleaning out a relatives attic and found a few boxes with these little movie poster type things. They are about six by nine inches each and most of them are a hard paper material, but some are plastic. The movie poster things have movies on them like life as we know it, butterfly effect 3, Five-year engagement, and the office season four. I would be very appreciative if you tolf=d me what they are and what they are used for, thank you.

My guess is VCR (video cassette recorder) cassette box fronts. But they seem just slightly bigger than the cassette box fronts. Could have been used like at a movie rental place, that displayed the copies of the box so people could flip through to see what they wanted to rent. OR your relatives taped their old VCR movies to DVD and kept the box fronts for reference.

sounds like you have some movie stills.........or basically, mini posters, used in advertising the film.
Often, if you go to the theater......there will be one big movie poster.......and maybe 3 or 4 smaller photo's , taken from the film, near it. They are usually on havy stock paper.......and are often collectible themselves.....if they are cool pictures.
