How do I get rid of my dandruff?

Ivs had dandruff for over 3 years. I've tried everything from oil treatments to every anti-dandruff shampoo at the store. Nothing works! I feel like my dandruff has some resistance or I have a genetic condition. Should I contact my doctor for help or should I shave my head to get rid of it?

Change your shampoo brand to start with; Depending on whether your scalp is oily, or dry, you may or may not need a conditioner, or that shampoo that incorporates a conditioner with a shampoo.

You may also want to make sure that you rinse your hair thoroughly after you shampoo your hair.

Dry your scalp thoroughly every single time. A moist scalp gets irritated.

Stop using a hot hair dryer, or any high alcohol content setting products, and see if that helps.

A tip: as a final rinse, dilute half a glass of white vinegar with a half glass of warm water, and use it as a final rinse. Let it sit on your scalp for a minute or so, and rinse out. Works for me.
