Definitely Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

Green Lantern is my favourite superhero, and he's just not shown very well outside of comics. The 2011 Green Lantern movie, as you probably know, sucked, and so he's never really gotten the attention he deserves from people who don't read comics.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series could have changed that. It was a genuinely great series, it was well animated, well written, it was exciting and action-packed but there was also a lot of character in it, the show had soul instead of just being all explosions and fighting. The voice acting was great too, having read a lot of Green Lantern comics, I'm very familiar with all of the characters and I can honestly say that every one of them sounded how I always thought they should. Kilowog's voice actor did a particularly good job.

Not only were the existing characters translated well from comic to TV, the show also created new characters like Razer and Aya, who were actually some of the best characters in the entire show. I'd love to see them introduced in the comics in some way.

The whole show just had a lot of great stuff in it. The stories and writing were fantastic, the show was mature enough for adults to enjoy it, but of course it stayed kid-friendly too. It's very rare for an animated TV show to be great for both adults and kids, but Green Lantern: The Animated Series was one of the few that got it right.

Admittedly, there have been better animated series; Batman: The Animated Series is probably the greatest cartoon series I've ever seen, and Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited were both fantastic as well. So why do I want Green Lantern: The Animated Series back more than I want those? Well, the answer is simple:

I feel like we've seen enough of those. There were an awful lot of episodes and honestly they were pretty much perfect. I don't feel like we need any more of it.

Same goes for Superman and Justice League, they were great, but I feel like it's done now, we've seen enough.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series, however, only got one series before it was cancelled. It wasn't even cancelled because of bad reviews or because not enough people watched it. It got cancelled because they didn't sell enough toys based on the show.

It's so annoying that a great show like this got cancelled so early just because not enough kids were buying the toys.

That's why I would want Green Lantern: The Animated Series to come back more than any other show, because not only was it a fantastic show, it just didn't get a fair chance. It should have been a long running, wonderful new superhero cartoon to make a whole new generation of kids discover Green Lantern, but instead it was taken off the air for absolutely no good reason.

I think if any show deserves a second chance, it's this one.
