Congratulations! That's wonderful news. There are a lot of grandmother names, so you have many options to choose from. Grandmother names I've heard/seen used are...

    Grandmother

    Grandmommy

Grandmama (usually I hear this pronounced grand-ma-mah, but you can say it grand-mah-ma, too)

    Grandmom/mum

    Grandma

    Grandi

    Granny

    Gran

    Nanna

    Nanny

    Nan

    Nonnie

    Gigi

    Oma

    Grandmere (accent on the 'e')

Mama (usually used as a mother name, but my mother called her grandmother 'Mama Herz' - her surname was Herz)

    Mimi

    Ma

    Mawmaw

    Maisy

Those are the grandmother names I've heard used, but you can always make something up. A know someone who calls his grandmother 'Maku', and friend of mine call her grandmother by her first name initial.

My mother-in-law preferred Mamo (a variation on the French "mamon," meaning little mother). Nona, Nana, Grammy and Grandy all seem to be popular right now.

I called my one grandmother "grandma" before she died, and the other one I call "Nana."

    Gran

    Granny

Meemaw (not entirely sure how to spell this one, to be honest.)

    I've also heard Nona before.

My mother wanted her grandkids to call her Honey.

Not to be outdone, my sister-in-law's mother wanted her grandkids to call her Sugar.

My grandmothers were Grandmommy and Nanny.

A unique one I heard recently is Gigi.
