battery recharger compatibility?

i have 4 x Duracell Ultra Rechargeable AA 2400mAh batteries and an Energizer Battery Charger Ni-MH 220-240V Input that takes ether 4 aa or aaa batteries. i left it charging with all 4 batteries for 15 hours and they still weren't charged full but still worked. anyone have any idea?

    Your Energizer Battery Charger does not have a charge detector and hence there is no indicator whether the charging is completed or not. If you charge for 15 hrs. you can assume that the batteries has been fully charged.

    thank you, i was starting to get confused about how long it was going to take, i'm thinking of replacing it if it doesn't work
