Is it me? Or are the 2 liter bottles of soda no longer holding their fizz more than 6 hours after opening?

Update:

They used to at least make it to the next day in the fridge.

Update 2:

It's Coke & Pepsi and I screw the caps on like the Hulk.

    Back in the day Coke used to have enough carbonation in it to make your eyes water. Over time all companies have cut back to save money.

    I don't have that problem and all I buy is 2 liter bottles. Maybe it is the specific brand you use, but mine keep for 3 or 4 days before seeming flat. Be sure that you get the lid on really tight after opening.

    I've kinda noticed that too, it could be the brand (some have more carbonation) or maybe because its hot out the frige isnt working as good
