What to do when you lie to your friends about what job your parents have.?
Well as you can already tell I've lied to my friends about what my mum does as an occupation. I've told them that my mum works as a librarian. The other day one of my friends met my mum working at a grocery store and my mum served them. I wasn't exactly lying my mum is trying to find work as a librarian and she already has a degree but a lie is still a lie. What do do, she'll probably tell the rest of my friends and my friends will probably think I'm a lier.

just tell them she used to be a librarian or that she was trying to get a job as a librarian. If they ask more, tell them you didn't think it was that big of a deal. Either way who even cares? It's just a job.

If your friends evaluate you by what your parents do for a living, them you don't want them as friends.

I mean it's not like you told them she is a doctor when she is a clerk at a hole-in-the-wall burger joint. The turnaround ain't THAT bad to me.
