Is there a reason EVERYONE on YA uses a group like "men/women/black/white/rep/dem" and then assigns blanket statements about the whole group?
when it obviously isn't the case. All republicans don't think x, all democrats clearly don't all think y, all black people are not the same, all white people are not the same, but if you look at the first ten questions on any feed in politics, the questioner assigns a position to an entire group of people, which usually makes them look like a retard with a keyboard.

I could easily go on, but there's not much point. Don't even get me started on the black/white thing. Also, above examples are from both sides. R/D

Most people generalize in order to simplify the world into an us v. them paradigm. It is part of the tribal nature of humans. We instinctively group things, and then assign them qualities, even if it isn't true.
Example: All green foods are vegetables.
One might simply accept that statement, because it is easy to think of examples of green vegetables, but it is clearly untrue as there are all manner of green fruits, and herbs. Still, we make these generalizations.
Example 2: All mammals give live birth
Again, a statement for which it is easy to come up with ample examples where mammals give live birth, but the Platypus (God's Practical Joke) lays eggs.
People do not stereotype and generalize for fun, but because we are trying to keep our world simple to unburden our mind from complexity. It is much simpler to say "all mammals have live birth" than it is to say "Most mammals have live birth, but some don't, so... what makes a mammal?"

Blanket statements about a group are a substitute for thinking, just as welfare is a substitute for working. It is the easy way out.

In case you haven't noticed, there are more retards with keyboards than people actually reading about issues on their screens.
If there weren't, imbiciles like Kim Kardashian wouldn't have a career mooning cameras.

I'm impressed how you seem to ask a thoroughly descriptive question and then answer it even more articulatively and conclusively. Amazing!

Democrats are masters of this.
