Since generalizing/stereotyping is wrong, then is everything subjective?

Since being prejudice is wrong, should you "accept" and not "expect" of new people you meet?

It's in our nature to categorize, define, and simplify our surroundings. While this works in many aspects of our life, it seems to hinder us from a social standpoint. Accepting without preconceptions would greatly improve social interaction and relationships. It's difficult for many because it goes against our natural thought process (see/hear - make presumption on current knowledge / past experience)

Generalizing and stereotyping are two different things, for starters. Generally, you may not rape other people. That's true and fine and most people would agree. Also, stereotyping has some valid applications and some not. For instance, I assume that most cops who observe me committing a crime will stop me from continuing and arrest me. That too is true and fine. And I expect people in public, even if I don't know them, to be dressed and not urinate in public. So no, I can't see that your statement is valid.
