Have you tried bringing up to them all the benefits that would come from moving? It would also help to think of all the problems like jobs, money, place to live, etc. and find solutions before you bring it up to them.

First see if you get in... then worry about everyone moving.

If you do make it in and there is no dorm facilities, then arrangements might be made with a host family. Most people who study at ballet schools on a serious level have to move in order to do so.

    * EDIT: I looked at you Q & A and based about what you said about having very low to almost no arch in your foot, it isn't likely you will make it into the school no matter how well you dance. So don't pack your cloths just yet. Just because you want something more than anything if you aren't born with the requirements to attain your dreams, it won't happen. Life is not fair. I wish I could sing like Adele but that will never happen for me. We are born with the gifts that we have. In ballet your body is your instrument. If you don't have the right instrument you won't make beautiful music. Ballet is so much about the line of your body. Having a high arch with long hyperextended legs is one of the things that gives you a great line. You also state you have short Achilles. That prevents you from having a big juicy pile which is also essential in ballet. You just have too much going against you. You have the body limitations that you were born with. You have the gifts you were born with too. Perhaps look elsewhere to see where your true gifts lie, instead of trying for a ballet career which unfortunately will be out of your reach. I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but I won't lie to you. I do know what is required. You deserve to know the truth.

You want to be the most important person in the family...NEWSFLASH..you are not. Your mother has to do what is best for all of you and unless she is offered a great job in Melbourne that she actually wants...you will not have your family going over with you.

If you get and, and it's a big if, then you will be boarded with a family or a school. If ballet is truely your dream then that should be fine. Ballet is a very selfish career...you have to put all relationships on the back burner to practice and practice.

I looked at your other questions and you have flat feet, short legs, short achilles and are not even the best dancer in your recreational dance school. All according to your own words. It is nice to have dreams and work towards a goal but to work towards a goal that is impossible to reach makes no sense. Like Mint says look for something you can excel in and if ballet gives you joy, stick with it at your local school. Try to take more classes if you can. Getting into a professional ballet training program based on what you have said about your your body is not a realistic goal.

Wow. What upsets me is that no body even said 'good for you! You're going to take a step closer towards your dream!' Guys, all you spat back in her face was 'you'll never be able to do it'. Be ashamed all who answered! So do you know what? I wish you good luck girl, don't let others bring you down, and I you fall from the moon, you'll land in the stars! You'll have an accredited course with you for when and if you decide to teach! I believe in you sweetie xx BRING DOWN THOSE HATERS!!

Stop being selfish. If YOU want to do this, then YOU should go, not drag your entire family with you.
