Rules for takes prescriptions on an airplabe?

I'm a first time flier and and am going to Spain and then to Italy. I have 3 prescriptions. One is for birth control. 2 are for my migraines. Do I need anything special to take with me to the airport in order to get through security lines? Also can I take it in my carry on?

One other problem the two for my migranes haven't been used much lately so I still have roughly 1/3 of the bottle but the date they must be used by was last month. Will this be a problem?

Do not worry about it. I travel with multiple medications and over the counter stuff. No one has <<ever>> asked about them, looked at the bottles or done anything at all.

They certainly do not care if you are taking expired medication. That is not their problem.

Birth control pills are incredibly common. Millions of women travel with those every week. No one cares.

Have them in original bottles. Some airlines advise that you also have a prescription form your doctor - I have NEVER needed this. Keep them in your carry-on luggage.

Everyone has prescription medicine. Just leave it in your bag. No one will ask about it.
