What's the difference between anti-feminism and misogyny?

I'm a girl and I get these two terms mixed up. I know that Misogyny means hatred of women and girls and I thought that Anti-feminism means the same but it isn't. Stephenie Meyer, the author of Twilight(ew!) is an anti-feminist writer and that really ticked me off because she's a woman herself. I thought that she's a hypocrite but I found out that she's not a misogynist. Before you say anything, I'm not one of those feminazis, the types of feminists who hate men and are the equivalents of Christian fanatics. I'm not a huge feminist and I'm actually fine seeing women being objectified in media because I see myself. Every woman and girl sees herself. I'm not against Christianity. I respect all religions and I'm agnostic. I'm not a homophobe or homosexual. I'm straight as a pole and I have full support of the LGBT community. I shouldn't bring these into the question because it's about feminism. What's the actual meaning of anti-feminism?

Anti-feminism means being against feminism. This usually involves a different understanding of what feminism actually is, compared to what most feminists say feminism is about. It is really stupid to just believe what feminists say about feminism.

Misogyny (hatred of women) is like misandry, which is the hatred of men. Not all women are feminists, although most women (and many men) in Western countries are feminists.

So, in practice, there is not much difference between hating feminists and hating women in Western countries, since women tend to take for granted the privileges that the combination of chivalry and feminism gives to them.

Well, feminazis aren't as much of a problem as academic/mainstream feminism is. It's the kind of stuff that's taught in universities, gets media attention, the stuff that says we all live in a patriarchal rape culture.

Anti-feminism is opposed to the feminist world view and teachings of modern feminism, and sees it as misguided, hateful, and just simply wrong. You can be anti-feminist and be pro-equality, and in general, that's the case. Many anti-feminists also support academic honesty, journalistic integrity, and freedom of speech.

Feminism today breeds this group of social justice warriors who view white men as a monolithic class of oppressors and women as perpetual victims. And again, these aren't feminazis-- these are ordinary girls and boys in college who essentially get indoctrinated into these beliefs.

Feminism has essentially become a totalitarian movement. They protest meetings they disagree with, they harass people with dissenting views or wearing a certain t-shirt (Matt Taylor), they want to ban words like "bossy" and ban "manspreading."

Karen Straughan makes some awesome videos about her anti-feminist views, and I recommend checking some of them out. Christina Hoff Sommers is a feminist, but she also disagrees with what mainstream has become.

It depends, I suppose, on your interpretation of feminism. I remember being absolutely horrified reading a response to an anti-feminnist "traditional" women, who said she hated feminism because she wanted to be a housewife.

An anti-feminist responded, calling her names like "parasite".

I wish I could find that link. It was chilling.

Neither every feminist accuses anyone who doesn't agree with them as a misogynist.

Anti-feminists oppose the hate-movement that is mainstream feminism.

Misogynists, in contrast, hate women but are not necessarily interested in political movements of any kind.

    This ain't rocket science.
