How many times to follow up after an interview?

I have had two jobs before each for a little bit over one year and i'm trying to get my third. I had an interview at River Street sweet last wednesday and I followed up two days later to thank them for the interview they said i'd hear back in about a week and that they were doing a background check for me. They told me a lot of the details like what to where, why they are hiring, and the pay. So I thought I had a good chance but I haven't heard back so I feel like I probably didn't get it.

Luckily I have applied at three starbucks, I introduced myself to the hiring manager at one and turned in my resume to him. I also have an interview at another one Monday afternoon.

I think Starbucks would be really cool to work at so I plan on following up a LOT after the interview instead of just once.

How often should I follow up???

I think one follow up is enough. After a while you just get annoying. When I was job hunting and had interviews I used to call them a week after the interview to thank them and ask them about the progress. After that if I didn't hear anything then I just said f**k it and left it be.

One thing I have learned is that if they are interested in you they will get back to you. Trust me they won't lost your phone number. There really is no need for you stress about how often to thank them and follow up. Once is enough and if you don't get a positive response just move on.
