?

I am working on a chapter in my novel and it seems like it is getting too long, possibly.

So far it is 26 pages long and I feel like I won't finish it for another 9-14 pages which will bring it to around 35 to 40 pages long.

Is that too long?

I do not like the t.v. show, I feel like the show itself is pretty boring. However, I like fantasy novels, I read the lord of the rings. Also I am not afraid to read a long book either, I read all 1439 pages of Stephen King's "The Stand".

I also know a bit of the main characters that get killed so I feel like that might ruin the suspense of the story for me if I read it. However, I know there are still two books to come and judging by how slow George R.R. Martin is writing the next book I feel like I could finish the entire series thus far and still have a year to wait until the next one.

Should I read the series?

I have a tie between "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck and "11/22/63" by Stephen King.

I'm a huge stephen king fan and I've read a lot of his work. However, there will come a day when I have finished reading all of his books and I want to make sure I have a backlog of other authors that I can enjoy reading as much as King. I tried to read "Speaks the Nightbird" a high rated historical fiction mystery novel, I love history so I thought I would like it. However, I quit reading it early on when I started having second doubts about it being a mystery novel. I like the idea of a Murder-mystery book however, I have found myself get bored with mystery movies/books/games that are long.

I need some good recommendations.

Why I like Stephen King; I enjoy how during and after reading his works I am left feeling uneasy, I like the suspense, I like how during the build up and character development it is still interesting and adds to the story.

I finished reading 11/22/63 which was about 850 pages long, I don't have a problem reading a really long book however if a book is 500+ pages long I need to be drawn in immediately or have read other works by that author.

So I am a huge Stephen King fan and I hear that "The Stand" is his 'best novel' I got the 1439 page version of it. I read "book one" in it up to page like 460 a few months ago, I remember the characters that have been introduced and what's going on but I wanted to take a break from the book and read other things. I know the book started up really fast paced but then it just got kind of slow and boring. When does the book get more interesting?

So I am hopefully going to get a job at Starbucks. I have my background check going through and they gave me the new hire packet about the job. I'm leaving my current job because I only get like 2 hours a week so I feel like i'm basically unemployed. I left an open schedule at Starbucks and checked that I wanted to work part time which is (12 to 35 hours a week)

I wouldn't mind working 35 hour weeks, i'd love the money. But I would rather not only work 12 hour weeks. I'd take the job even if I only got 12 hour weeks because it's better than my current schedule at my job I have now. but do you think they'd give me at least 20-30 hours?

It's a pretty starbucks I will be working at if they hire me.

I have held two different jobs for almost THREE years now. I am trying to switch to a different job but this is literally exactly as hard to even get an interview as it was when I had no experience. What is this ******* bullshit?

I applied at Starbucks last week and had an interview yesterday.

So I had the interview and I smiled and nodded, I shook their hands and said "it's great to meet you" and was polite. At the end I said "have a great day, I hope to hear from you soon"

I feel like I did pretty well in the interview, when they asked me at the end if I had any questions for them I said "What could I do to exceed your expectations for me if I were to be hired?" The main interviewer smiled and said "that's a good question" then the manager of the store I was applying for told me, I kept eye contact with her and nodded and smiled at the end.

Then at the end they said "We have some more interviews today, in 24-48 hours you'll receive a call if we decide to move forward with you"

is that a good sign?

They told me a lot of the details like what to where, why they are hiring, and the pay. So I thought I had a good chance but I haven't heard back so I feel like I probably didn't get it.

Luckily I have applied at three starbucks, I introduced myself to the hiring manager at one and turned in my resume to him. I also have an interview at another one Monday afternoon.

I think Starbucks would be really cool to work at so I plan on following up a LOT after the interview instead of just once.

My fiance's family is from Mexico and we want to go to the Yucatan penninsula and aztec ruins for our honeymoon however, Cartels and stuff scare me.

I know the news makes it look more dangerous and i've heard that it is safer than you would imagine but

if I wanted to go to the coastline, scubadive in yucaton, and check out old ruins and forests how safe would it be?

P.S. I am a white american so I would be very easy to spot in a crowd.

Is this done on purpose?

I am a fan of creeping myself out and I also enjoy to research, so I was looking up things about demons. I was reading about a few different ones, this happened the other night. Yesterday afternoon it was cloudy and overcast then I heard a loud sound that sounded like something being dragged or a deep growl from the basement that my step dad was in. So I called down to him and he said he didn't hear or do anything. Then my mother complained about feeling someone standing behind her on two separate occasions and thought it was me but it wasn't. That night (last night) I saw my cats run up the stairs as if they were chasing something and they both froze and were staring at something in the hall but when I looked I saw nothing the cats kept staring and I felt creeped out. Then the cats just snapped out of it and starting running down the stairs. So I go back downstairs to tinker around on my computer. After a couple of hours when my mom and step dad went to sleep I heard sounds of walking in the basement. But when I started really listening it stopped. So I was like "that's weird" but thought nothing of it then I heard slow foot steps coming up the basement steps and I KNEW it was foot steps, so I ran and locked the basement door and ran back to my computer room. A few seconds after sitting back down I heard slow scratching down the basement door. I went to my room but felt a cold chill and got really anxious so I slept in the living room. What is up?

I'm a Bayern Munich fan and the commentators are talking so much trash about Bayern in this game now. Bayern was winning 2-1 and the commentators were like "Bayern's got to be wondering what's going wrong why aren't they up six to nill yet?"

I've noticed the commentators in football (soccer) are by far the most irritating sports commentators in my opinion.

What gives?

First let me say I am only putting soccer in the title because I don't want to confuse fellow Americans.

I'm not insulting Football, in fact it has become my new favorite sport. I LOVE how literally the entire world plays it and there are multiple leagues, I love how the bottom teams in a main league get demoted down to the lower league while the top teams in the lower league are promoted to the main league. I used to find football boring until I found a team I liked and started watching it, now I can't wait until gamedays.

This is an opinionated question, about real football (soccer) and the most obnoxious fan bases. So which team has the most irritating fan base in your opinion and why?

I did the math for this. In all of Stephen King's; novels, short story collections, and other works he has written 34,858 pages. So I was wondering... if you were to take every single thing he has ever written and stacked them on top of each other how high do YOU think the tower of Stephen King's works would stand?

This is an issue with dying light. I was playing the game and got some good progress on multiple achivements getting the progress tracker up to about 30% for the achievements. But every time I log on and check it, it decreases and says I have 5% completed. This happened every single time I tried logging back on. Will these achievements unlock later or is it an issue with the game?

So I got sleeping dogs pre owned from GameStop to play while I wait to buy Dying Light. I'm going to return sleeping dogs before 7 days for a refund but I might not finish the game. Could I go back and buy sleeping dogs pre owned again in about a month and return it for another refund or am I on record for what I buy?

Since Fantasy season is over I don't have an answer to this. Yesterday night we all saw Wide Receiver, Julian Edelman get passed the ball and throw it for a touch down... would that have counted for extra fantasy points if a wide receiver passed for a touch down?
