Nikon DSLR Shutter disabled, motor not working problem?
I dropped my Nikon D3000 and it says the shutter release button has been disabled. I went to a camera repairshop and the man there said they will just clean the motor and it'll take 45 minutes before my camera gets fixed. 45 minutes has passed and the repairman said the motor isn't working and he'll just call me once it is fixed. He said he may have to replace the motor. It's been 3 days and he hasn't called yet. What should I do and why isn't the motor working? I feel like I'm getting scammed by this repairman.
I'm trying to call him and he won't respond to my texts. The shop charged me 35 dollars, they said I'll have to wait 45 minutes. 45 minutes passed and they said the motor is still not working. That was last Friday then they said It will be fixed by Sunday and they will text me once it gets fixed. They told me I will not have to pay for a new motor if needing a new motor is the problem. Sunday came and still no text message.

Why isn't the motor working? You dropped it, remember?
You feel like you're being scammed? Why didn't you bring the camera back to the store your bought it from for servicing?
Why is it taking so long? The repairman is tracking down a motor to buy. Ideally, he should inform you on how much it would cost but if he already gave you a quote earlier then he may only be waiting for the motor to arrive in the mail.

Have you done something silly, like, go back and talk to the man? He almost certainly had to order the parts to fix the camera that YOU broke. If you can't fix it yourself, then it would seem that you are pretty much stuck with having to pay somebody else to fix the camera that YOU broke.
How long do you think it would take Nikon to fix your camera? 2 hours? 3? To repair it takes time and parts. Don't forget that YOU caused this, not him.
