why are some anime haters snobby, shallow, judgmental, and bigoted?

I love Anime as well I've actually seen a page recently on Facebook who actually made there page because they hate Anime and think it's fun to make fun of it.. I've talked to a bunch of people like that it pisses me off they assume they know everything and the people who watch Anime. I've found a few Facebook pages that are Anime hating people.. They call it a cartoon which I don't agree with. One person I talked to is taking how Sasuke treated Sakura an abusive relationship and are trying to get Naruto banned from the U.S. which I don't see the big deal many TV shows and movies have shown abuse relationships they even called me a weeaboo and an Okatu because I watch Anime which I'm neither. A weaboo is someone who is overly obsessed with Japanese culture and desires to be Japanese. I've never once claimed that I wanted to be Japanese I'm proud of my 6 nationalities. I'm not obsessed with Japanese culture but I respect it... An Otaku is someone who has no life, social life, and love life mostly stays inside and watches Anime and reads Manga.. I got a love life I go out all the time and I have a social life. I just love Anime that's not a crime. Another page made a photo dissing Naruto while complimenting ISIS.. And that girl you are talking about thinks we should hate Anime cause she does? Who made her the boss of people? No, the worst creations on Earth then Anime.. Also, I've seen a lot of photos bashing Anime on these Facebook pages here are some.. Some feel it's treated like a style or a religion, it's the antichrist, Anime is Satan, you'll turn into Satan worshippers, Anime promotes dog fighting, Anime promotes Abuse, Anime promotes drug abuse, Anime promotes Tattoos, Anime promotes senseless violence, Anime promotes sins, Anime makes you ugly, Anime promotes rape, Anime degrades women, Anime is racist, Anime promotes animal abuse, Anime promotes child pornography.. I find all those bullshit and hypocritical seeing how TV shows, Music, and Movies have shown these things as well. One person I talked to found it offensive because I said Baka in Japanese which means stupid btw if you didn't know... Why should I care if they find it offensive? To me, Japanese is an interesting language to learn..

I feel the same way. I don't think it's just anime. If you hate anything, you'd have a very strong opinion about it, right? I don't understand trolling though because people don't NEED to purposely go online and make fun of the stuff they hate so much. Sure, I have my hates and judgemental mind, but I don't go ruining it for others or getting involved with the fans.

I'm going to be honest I love anime just as much as I love American cartoons. But the majority of people who start the cartoon vs anime argument are anime fanboys and fangirls. (Not fans, fanboys and fangirls) occasionally the people you are talking about are rare from what I've seen it most likely means they are pretty close minded and to them it's "uncool" or "weird." Other words they don't have a clue to even give it a chance.
