I need to find the Shortest Flight possible?
I am trying to meet my friend in Jamaica. She lives in India. I need help finding the shortest flight for her. By shortest, I mean the fewest connecting the flights, and the shortest travel time. You can chose any airport in India, and any airport in Jamaica to reach your conclusion. I will award the points to the most helpful. Thank you

The shortest and easiest flights for you are those between Mumbai and Sangster International Airport (Montego Bay) with Air India:
Mumbai (BOM) to Newark (EWR) Air India ,Dep: 1:30 am Arr: 7:55 am = 15h 55m
Layover in EWR 3h 5m
Newark (EWR) to Montego Bay (MBJ) , United , Dep: 11:00 am Arr: 2:00 pm = 4h 0m
It is not the cheapest flight.
Other flights (mainly from Delhi to Sangster International Airport or sometimes Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston) may be a bit shorter. However, they have either an airport change (EWR to JFK) or two stopovers (often New York and Miami).
Figures above are from ITA matrix airfares search that you find here:

India is a big country, so saying that you can choose any airport in India is a little unreasonable...it is unlikely that she would travel the distance from say South Carolina to Washington DC to take an airplane. Thus, an extra leg may be necessary. But, if you were looking for the shortest flight it would be from the capital city, I am sure...
I would say that it would take at least four legs for her to reach Jamaica.
