Unlikely. Alcoholism is defined as one who drinks and is unable to stop. By that definition, a person who cannot deny themselves their one beer a day would be an alcoholic

No you won't.. Alcoholics drink every day and get sick if they don't drink. You can drink beer once in a while. Even a few times a week and you won't become an alcoholic, unless you push yourself to become one.

There is a significant difference between 10 beers every night and one beer occasionally. Stick to a moderate quantity of beer (no more than a couple of pints a day) and you'll be fine.

Oh, and do try to find some proper beer to try - Bud Light is one of the worst beers there is.

There's a difference between an alcoholic and a heavy drinker. And alcoholic can't say "OK. I won't drink at all this weekend".

Having a beer once in a while doesn't make anyone an alcoholic. You sound very responsible and smart about drinking. However, I'd recommend getting your mother help to curb her drinking.

there are a lot of factors but odds are if your mom is a alcoholic odds are you genetically have a easier time getting addicted to stuff then other people, but having a drink every once in a while will not expose you to enough booze to get you to the point you cannot stop drinking.
