Baby sitting rates?

We have a 12 1/2 mnth old. We have only left her with my mom. My husband has a guy at work with a experienced 18 year old daughter that baby sits a lot. What would you pay her an hour? Her job, if in the evenings would be just play with our kiddo and dress her for bed and maybe put her to bed. During the day would be snack and play with her.

I would say anywhere from 10 to 14 dollars an hour is reasonable. Some people pay as high as 20 dollars an hour. Considering she is not doing things like driving or light house keeping, I d pay her about 12 dollars an hour. You can always ask her how much she wants to be paid, then if she says an amount you don t like you can suggest a lower rate. Considering she is experienced, 12 dollars an hour seems reasonable.
