You guys do realize that the Greek leftist party didn't cause their problem?

They only got elected within the last couple years, they inherited the problem.

do your research

Syriza's long term goals and beliefs are silly socialist stuff that's failed in dozens of other countries. That said they're the only ones willing to simply give the creditors the finger, which is the appropriate action here. The banks like to claim Greece must repay the debt, but they gave Greece more money in loans than it could ever pay back, frankly at that point it stops being a creditor/debtor relationship and more of an idiot with money and a spendthrift friend relationship. They should have known they would never get that money back, and if they did think they were getting it back (especially with interest) then they're just a living example of the fool and his money being parted. Giving a loan to the Greeks is like leaving your life savings in your garbage can and then bemoaning the fact that the garbage man took it to the dump.

Yes I DO know that and I don't need to do any research because I keep up with the news. Previous irresponsible governments caused it, and even knowing that, the Greeks elected Syriza back in January. The phrase "turkeys voting for Christmas" comes irresistibly to mind. Ultimately it's the fault of Greek voters for not facing up to reality. And banks and the IMF for not taking a hard line on lending to a bad credit risk. And now it looks like they poured their money down a black hole... wow, what a surprise.

Why are you accusing me of being ignorant?

    oH I have,

The Panhellenic Socialist Movement (Greek: Πανελλήνιο Σοσιαλιστικό Κίνημα, IPA: [paneˈlinio sosjalistiˈko ˈcinima]), known mostly by its acronym PASOK (Greek: ΠΑΣΟΚ, pronounced [paˈsok]), is a social-democratic[6][7] political party in Greece.

It was founded on 3 September 1974 by Andreas Papandreou as a democratic socialist and Left-wing nationalist party.[8] As a result of the 1981 legislative election, PASOK became Greece's first left-of-centre party to win a majority in the Hellenic Parliament.

Formerly one of the two major parties in Greek politics, PASOK lost much of its popular support as a result of the unprecedented austerity measures that accompanied an international bailout requested by the government of George Papandreou in response to the Greek government-debt crisis. In 2012 following two legislative elections which failed to produce a parliamentary majority for any single party, PASOK agreed to form a coalition government with its centre-right rival New Democracy (ND) in June 2012

The resolution to this problem involves austerity. Rejecting the solution to the problem does not solve the problem. You'd have to be a complete idiot to think otherwise.

They still refuse to change anything that caused it. That's accepting part of the blame.
