Can I go swimming or diving in the ocean when I have minor cuts?

I've heard that many people needed to go to the hospital or amputate parts of their body because they went to the ocean with a small cut and then got like a flesh eating bacteria or something else.I am going to the ocean in like 2 days and all the activities planned are aquatic. I have mild eczema so I have tiny little scabs and holes on my arms. Is it safe? I have everything booked and don't want to miss it because it's a once in a lifetime chance.

Depends. If they are open cuts, they will burn like all hell in the ocean and there may not be flesh eating bacteria, but there's bacteria nonetheless that can get you very sick. If the cuts are healing and closed, it's much safer.

Open sores in salt water won't be fun. It will hurt a lot and may cause scaring. However, the chance of getting a parasite or something dangerous is very small.

The Salt water will do the cut good. Help it heal.

Flesh Eating Bacteria would be in swamp water.
