Would my pc be able to run minecraft over 200 fps?

My pc build cpu - amd fx 8350 4.2ghz. Gpu - gtx 970 2gb. 8gb of ram

    Kid you wont be able to tell any difference between 80fps and 200 fps, stop trying to show off to your mates.

    Sure, but why bother? running above 60fps will not make the game better.

    yeah but theres no point, once you get past your monitors refresh rate you cant see the frames that youre generating
