Female face on american currency?

There is a movement to take Hamilton off the our currency, and replace it with a female's. Do you agree with this, and why? Who?

Find a woman who is more deserving, fine. That of course us not the objective. They want to put a woman's face on and then come up with a way to justify it.

People don't care that a woman gets to be on the face of dollar bill what matters is whether or not they have made significant contribution to America in terms of acheivement or in aid. Hamilton was a founding father of America hence why he is on the $10 bill, he created the first national bank, led the Federalist party, reduced much of the Revolutionary War debt and also prevented war with France and settled many international disputes. I think someone who has done all this very much deserves to be on the dollar. Feminists and supporters of the change wish for people like Susan B. Anthony to be put on the bill or Harriet Tubman but these are not people who have made a huge impact upon the United States as a nation and made it better in the world as a country. They may have helped certain demographics or led in the fight for rights all of which are commendable but not impactful enough upon the history of America as a nation itself to be put on to the bill. I believe if a woman should be put on the bill then make it a first lady or similar woman in power.

If we replace Hamilton's face on currency, I suggest it be Blaze Star. She recently died. She certainly made a lot of us smile over the last 60+ years.

It doesn't really matter. Women have been on money and not on money for centuries. Actually, I think we ought to pick a date in the future (maybe 2020) and change all the pictures on all the United States' money to women. If women are doing better than men in 100 years people will say, "makes sense because women are on the money." If women are doing worse than men on 100 years people will say, "makes sense because women are on the money." Get it?

I posted a question similar to this one about 3 months ago when I first read an article of the change in which someone responded that they didn't care, as long as the money still holds its value. I agreed.

People should be concerned about poverty and not a face on the currency

Its been 5 days, and all the answers are really crap. I guess I have to pick one, even though none are deserving. None answered my question of why. So I'll pick the least crap of all crap.

I agree with it. I like the way it's done on Australian notes with a woman on one side and a man on the other (apart from the five dollar note where the Queen gets it all to herself).
