How many amps in 1000w with 120v AC?

I have a DC to AC converter rated for 1000 watts.

    P = IE so 1000watts = 120volts x I so then I = 8.333 Amps. It should reliably give around 8 amps

    Read the owners manual that came with it or download it from the manufacturers website for free. Or just look at the the fuse rating. It's probably not more than 15 amps

    the Formula is Amps times Volts = watt

    therefore therefore 1000 / 120 = 8.33333333

    Your output is 8.3A max
