Is it common to have a period for a long duration of time after starting Aubra (birth control pill.)?

I started taking Aubra from Planned Parenthood right before my period started. A week later, I started my period and it continued quite heavily for 3 weeks. I have also been having very much protected sex using condoms religiously. I've had a lot of symptoms that go along with pregnancy since then and I am in no position to have a child at this time. My breasts grew and became tender during this first month along with puffy nipples. I'm pretty thin but in the past few weeks my uterus has become hard and my belly looks very bloated but it doesn't feel like menstrual bloating. The left side of my body, especially my leg has become somewhat numb and sore which mkes me worry about an ectopic pregnancy or uterine fibroids. Would someone please give me some insight into what may be happening to my body?
