Help! Two birds around my house are annoying!?
Hi people. So I've had this issue over the past couple of weeks with two birds that live outside of my house. I believe they are Robins.They constantly tap on my windows when I am trying to sleep. They also tear up the plants that I spent so much time caring for in my lawn. EVERY single time I walk outside, to get to my car or take out the trash, THEY BEGIN MAKING POO ON ME AND ALL OVER MY CAR AND HOUSE! It gets very hot over the summer, so I open my windows where I watch TV. I can't even relax without them harassing me. They stand outside the window and start pointing and laughing. I can even hear them muttering anti-Semitic comments.
I've tried to contact my local police department, but they refuse to help! I don't know what to do! Can anyone with knowledge of birds help me. I don't want to kill them, but they're driving me insane!

Killing them is illegal, they're protected by the migratory bird treaty act and doing so will result in a rather large fine. I would suggest putting up fake birds of prey or better yet, attracting a bird of prey to your yard/area. Birds of prey should not be a bother to you unless you have livestock. You can even contact a falconer(someone who hunts with birds of prey) which can help a lot with pests. If you contact your provincial/state/territory fish and wildlife centre they should be able to help you find a falconer in your area.
I always recommend birds of prey because it's the most natural and efficient way of deterring many different things such as rodents, raccoons, skunks, birds, etc. However, there are many different products you can get that help deter birds which you should be able to find using google.

You live in THEIR territory so close the windows, turn on the A/C or move. They belong in their territory and we do not.
