Can getting you period alter home ovulatin tests?

Trying to conceive.... Started taking the home ovulation test 6 days ago and got 3 "low" fertility results and yesterday got a flashing smiley face which means "high fertility." Same result today which is normal because in the past, I've gotten a couple "high" days before "peak fertility" days. Anyway, we had sex yesterday since it was high, but this morning when I tested, when I wiped, there was some blood. It's odd because it's not like period blood. I've worn a liner all day and no blood on it, but some slightly when I wipe. If I am just getting my period, would this alter the ovulatin showing high days if I've already ovulated? I'm not regular so I never know when I am ovulating or not but my breasts started hurting a week or so ago which has always been a sign of ovulation for me so that's why I started the tests. Not sure if the blood is just from the sex (it was rougher than normal). I just hate getting my hopes up just to be disappointed and yes, we've already been to Drs, had IUI's, etc.

Breast hurting is most normally a sign that ovulation has already passed, actually. And then, many women have surges of LH ( the hormone that ovulation tests are looking for) a week or so AFTER ovulation, and again a few days later as the period is approaching. I think you already ovulated for this cycle and are going to get your period pretty quickly now.
