How to "have fun" when you're not a "fun" kind of person?
My husband (been together 7 years) recently told me how he wishes he could have gone to Otakon. To me, Otakon is something you do if you're into cosplay, which he is not, and if you're not going to cosplay, you're wasting $100.
But he said he just wants to go to have fun, and it makes me feel bad because every time we've planned something remotely fun this year, we've had to cancel. Sometimes, it's because of the weather, like a freak snowstorm or 110 degree weather, but mostly, it's because I'm just too practical to justify spending money on something that isn't a bill.
But I really do love him, and I can tell he's getting pretty miserable. So what's something we could do together, just me and him, that isn't sex and won't cost $100?

Why not just spend the money if you have it? It's just money. Your husband n your happiness means more than money. I'm not saying go blow all your money, but If he wants to spend a lil extra money on something fun I don't see the big deal?
