What is with this mouse?

A mouse got into our house and we've seen it running around in circles, sitting up on its haunches, and it fell over once. Is it rabid? Would it hurt my cat if we sent her after it?

Mice don't just run around in the light of day around people falling over; It's sick. If you do see a mouse, generally it's running from one hiding place to another as quick as it can, not lingering around. Don't send your cat after it! Set out some traps and call a pest control company asap. Mice are on the bottom of the food chain and carry a lot of diseases that you don't want your cat or family to catch. Rabies is most commonly found in rodents but it could be infected with a number of nasty things. Usually if you see one, there are more as well, if they are all sick your asking for it.
