Personally, I think they're both pretty darn awful because of the simple fact that they both thrive on paying people less while at the same time driving off or otherwise eliminating competition so they can corner the market & thus make much more for themselves.

Mal Wart. They move in, run other business out, and then leave (forcing you to go to the Walmart the next town over).
Home Despot also uses the same approach.

McDonalds. It's everywhere, polluting the world with its overpriced toxic waste. And why is the mascot a clown. Nobody even likes clowns.

They both provides jobs to they are both good. You don't have to work there if you don't want to.
