Why isn't he returning my texts or reading them?

I've been talking to this guy who said he started to like me. We have never met, but he told me to visit him at work. I know this may sound crazy, but he asked me if i wanted to be his girl and he was really flirty and he replied asap al the time. At one point he sent me like a 2 page text telling me his intentions on how he wanted to hook up at first, but then he realized that he didn't just want to hook up with me. He said we'd look good together and that he won't hurt me. (yes he made several serious statements with periods at the end) and the last i checked, he still called me his baby, his princess and everything. He also invited me to stay with him over winter break cuz I don't have anywhere to live during the break and i didn't want to spend the time moving everything to my aunts and leaving it there. We also planned our date. I told him i might be gone for a bit for the winter and he said that he'll be sad when I'm gone. He also said that he felt like i didn't want to be in a relationship with him and I told him that I do. So out of nowhere, assuming we were going to be together, i invited him to go back to my hometown with me with those few days so we won't be separated. He said he liked my idea. and then, i moved here, and i told him. that morning, he was still normal, but then he stopped reading my messages and stopped replying. so i started to worry. I asked if everything was okay and that if he were uninterested, he should tell me so i leave him alone. what to do
