MAJOR Windows 10 problem with latest update. Anyone, please help?

Last night, I installed the latest update through windows update on Windows 10. I restarted my computer, and then went to bed. When I wake up, I turn on my comp, log in, and then it does a couple things to set it up. First off, I get this message saying that my user directory is not available because I don't have the privileges to see it (I'm the only user on this computer). Second, I click on the home button and the home menu doesn't pop up. I try this when using the mouse and the keyboard, neither seem to work. Then, I search an app in the search box and I try to open it and I'm told this: "Can't open user profile directory, because you lack sufficient privileges. You might want to contact the administrator of this machine."

I AM the administrator of this machine, or at least I should be...

Does anyone (*cough cough Microsoft cough*) know how to fix this?? I believe the latest update is at fault for this.

And no, I am not a developer or anything, so I'm not getting the preview builds that the beta testers would be getting.

No privileges? No problem. You already are an admin so you can force the privileges.

Open File Explorer. Navigate to C:\Users. Right click on your folder and select Properties. Select the Security tab. Click Edit. If you do not see your name in the list of users there, click Add. Type your USER name - NOT your full name. This is likely just your first name. Actually, the name of the folder is probably the name you want to type. (alternatively if your first name is not recognized try your full name)

Once you see your name in the list of users, click it, and check the box for Full Control.

If the above just didn't work because you are full on denied access to view privileges in the Security tab:

Click Advanced. Near the top of the window, there is a line that shows Ownership of the folder. Click Change, and type your USER name - NOT your full name. This is likely just your first name. Actually, the name of the folder is probably the name you want to type. (alternatively if your first name is not recognized try your full name).

    Hope this solves the problem.
