What can I do when the police steal my belongings?
I was sitting in my car parked on the side of the road. The cops rolled up on me because I looked suspicious. Not wanting to cause a problem and possibly get my parents involved, (I'm 18 and don't want my parents to know about this) I let them search me and my car. I told them I had nothing, and they found nothing. The cops let me go on my way. I returned home after, only to realize that they had stolen my pack of cigarettes. Brand new pack too. And the cop knew I was 18 so it wasn't because she thought I wasn't of age. So the cop broke the law right? It wasn't evidence. It wasn't a weapon. They basically robbed me. And I know it's just a pack of cigs but now I can't trust the police with anything anymore.

You can't do anything. Cops have planted evidence and sent people to prison for years, thousands of times. They've illegally killed people and gotten away with it. Next time don't let them search your car (Even if it's your dad's car or whatever)
I can't imagine a cop stealing your cigarettes but you never know. Just get over it.
Consider quitting, anyone that smokes cigs or has will tell you it's not worth it

Can YOU prove they took your cigarettes.
If not go buy a new pack. You were just going to burn them anyway.

Man, sorry I am not helping, but that is a sign to quit smoking and not kill yourself. So quit.
