Certificate in engineering?
Okay so I m 19 year old college student with a few questions in engineering.
My first question is can I get hired as a engineer with an industrial technology certificate. Which does a lot of what an engineer does.
My second question is if I can get hired with this certificate what will the pay be like? I was hoping for $20/hr but not sure if I could make that much without a bachelors.
(Fyi I m not looking to hit a 6 figure income just something to start with and see if I even like it.)

No, you can't be hired as an engineer without a four-year engineering degree. You'd be qualified to be hired as an industrial engineering technician. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, such jobs are declining in number, but the median pay is about $25/hr. Starting pay would be lower, obviously.

NO ! TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATE IS NOT QUALIFIED AS A LICIENSED ENGINEER.
THE BEST YOU CAN GET IS A TECHNICIAN OR SKILLFUL WORKER, NO TROUBLE TO GET $20 / HR IF YOU WORK IN A MIDDLE SIZE COMPANY.
