When did FOX News become right wing?

Can someone point out a specific year without a bunch of BS?

Fox News was Republican from it's inception in 1996. Roger Ailes, the guy Murdoch hired to set it up was a fomer Republican party strategist.

Their motto was always Fair & Balanced. I started watching it when it first came on. They would always try to give people or groups an opportunity to give their side to a story. I don't think they were necessarily right winged but when you have one side telling lies and call them out on it this is the result.

Everyone knows that Fox is a conservative news channel. It would be refreshing if all the other news channels would come out and say they are liberal and not represent themselves as middle of the road.

Who knows, maybe they were center then shifted left or maybe they were right from the get go.

All I know is there are plenty of other outlets who have no problem calling themselves liberal outlets so Fox has every right to do the same.

They have always been neoconservative. It depends on what part of the Republican party you think you are in.
