Yes I would. I know many people who have gone to Mexico, Germany, and other European countries for dental and health care. For less than they would pay in the US for one procedure, they can fly, stay in a very nice hotel, and get excellent care.

I don't live that far from the Mexican border. It's about evenly divided among my neighbors, as to using US or Mexican dentists. The Mexican dentists won't take any US insurance. They are a little cheaper, most of the time. No one has complained about the quality of work. The drive, and wait to cross the border, aren't worth the few dollars in savings to me.

Often when I "haggle" and ask for a "senior discount" I pay less, than the people that have work done in Mexico!

I think the reason many of us don't go abroad for those great deals is the complexity of the whole process. I only speak English, so that would be reason one. Then the level of care is uncertain to me and a bit scarey since it's unknown. Then all the planning that would have to take place would be another layer of hesitation. But if it were easy.....I would absolutely go and save the dough

I suppose it would depend on how close I lived to the border. The cost of care plus the cost (time and $$) of getting there, staying there all need to be factored in.

I live in north Texas so a trip down south is still a very long one, and I will not do it.

A lot of Mexican dentists are U.S. trained (and in some other countries, also, such as Costa Rica). The dentists there seem to give good care, particularly with things such as dentures or implants. If I had really bad teeth, I might consider it. Obamacare has really screwed up our health plants.

I've gone over to Mexico for teeth cleaning because it is so much cheaper. I didn't feel like I got as good a job as my dentist in US though but the difference in price used to be about $60.

Yes. And, I would move out of the country for more affordable living, if I had someone I trusted to make the arrangements!
