What to do with cat litter when changing the entire bin?

We use non-clumping litter because it is cheaper. We fill the bottom of the bin and then dump the whole bin each day and refill-repeat. Again, it s non-clumping so we can t scoop. We have been dumping the bins in the woods behind our house and a lot of litter has accumulated into large piles. We ve noticed the plants around this area have started dying. Dumping into trash bags is not an option - we have no trash service and it s just too much and too heavy. We have several cats. What do you all do when you need to change the whole bin of litter?

There are some cheap brands of clumping cat litter, is it possible for you to look into it and try getting some? Clumping litter would be a lot easier, just scoop daily and throw into a bin then just change the entire thing every week or so. You could look online for cheap clumping litter, there are tons on pet store sites.

Just a thought, dump the litter into store plastic bags and keep them outside, every month or so just get rid of them (they'll probably stink though)

Cheap clumping cat litter I found on google search: Tidy Cats Scoop Litter for Multiple Cats, 20Ib for 7$

If you live near a town, you might be able to take the trash bags to a local dump there. Technically, you don't have to dump the cat litter everyday. We usually rotate between clumping and non-clumping cat litter and we dump out my cat's litter box every sunday. Its a unessescary to dump it everyday, especially if your trying to save money. Your cats only urinate/poop 2-3 times a day, so its a waste of litter. try maybe doing it every couple days like on sundays and Wednesdays (three times a week). If its the smell that bothers you, try moving your litter box to a place that your family doesn't visit very often, ours is in our basement laundry room. since you have 7 cats as well, try cleaning your litter box every week, it will make the smell less strong, or opt for a new litter box with a lid, our cat has one. hope this helped :)

Dig a deep hole and put a cover over it until you fill it and cover it with dirt.
