The liberal media is quiet on Obama's toxic waste spill into the Animas River. What would the headlines be if Bush were President?

I find it interesting that when BP had a blow out--there were investigations-criminal and civil charages-and massive libtard media reporting. If it weren't for the internet and a few media outlets-this enivornmental catastrophe caused by the EPA would not be heard at all. At least the effect of oil is much less systemic than heavy metals poisoning that the animals and humans can look forward too, courtesy of the incompetents at the EPA.

I know!!!!! When is Obama going to increase the EPA's budget and make it easier for them to enforce stricter environmental regulations!!!! Now that conservatives are finally for this it's something the whole country agrees on!

Come on Obama! Give the EPA the funding it needs to do these jobs properly. The whole country is for protecting the environment!!!!

Kingston Fossil Plant coal fly ash slurry spill - 2008, 1.1 billion US gallons (4,200,000 m3) of coal fly ash slurry was released. The coal-fired power plant,

The spill killed a "tremendous" number of fish, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press. On January 1, 2009 the first independent test results, conducted at the Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry laboratories at Appalachian State University, showed significantly elevated levels of toxic metals (including arsenic, copper, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, nickel, and thallium) in samples of slurry and river water.

Please try to find one report which blamed President G.W. Bush for this incident, I have looked and cannot find one. Below reports of the incident from CNN, The Washington Post, CBS, The Ecologist and The New York Times, not one accusation that the sitting president, G.W. Bush was responsible.

What is it with Republicans, that they are constantly accusing Democrats of doing exactly what they themselves do?

If someone from a private enterprise released the spill, the EPA would be fining them and make them pick up the water in buckets if necessary.

Toxic spills did happen when Bush was President, and the media were equally "quiet".

    Ever hear about this?

Finally conservatives caring about the environment. I'll take it, even though it appears to be only when it is self-serving.

Also, I'm not sure what you consider the "liberal media" to be, but I've seen it at literally every website I've visited. Your picture is from NPR even.

That wasnt caused by the President. The media reporters themselves may be on the left but their bosses are not.

Maybe you should ask the company that operated the mine, took the gold and then bailed leaving a toxic legacy in their wake.

if Bush or Obama wanted clean rivers,

    they'd pay for them.

yours are all dead or dying-- every single one. Liberal media might whine louder.

Headlines might show the damages as ongoing, not as a series of unrelated accidents.
