Why do conservatives often confuse democratic socialism with marxist-leninism?

Even when they do read, their comprehension is so low that they can't sort out one ideology from another. They're immediately fearful of anything they don't understand, and with cons, that covers a LOT of ground. They're conditioned to panic, and form a knee-jerk negative reaction to anything that has the word "social" in it.

8 years ago you people DENIED the fact the Democrat party was full of socialists and now you seek to DEFINE THEM... I don't need a 'talking head" to tell me what anyone can see... especially when your own DNC head can't tell the difference!

Which of these Democratic Socialist ideas do you support? All of them? Most of them? Some of them? None of them? Just give an honest answer.

1. Abolition of private property in land and application of all rents of land to public purpose.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

4. Confiscation of the property of all rebels.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the state.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.

10. Free education for all children in government schools.

Because actually it is a campaign to confuse the base supporters into scaring them into supporting the GOP because the commies have taken over the DNC!

That's like comparing green grapes to red grapes....

Either you support private property and individual rights or you don't.

They cant help it. They realize they don't have the voters on their side. But they've no one else to blame but themselves. They've never governed. Just slick ways to take over and help the rich get richer.

They spew out whatever Fox News tells them.

Its all totalitarian government at the end of the day.

Nobody is confused about that. LOL
