Windows explorer is at error, restart the pc keep pressing f8 to the windows advance boot screen , scroll down to reboot or the last known good config that really work click either one of them , if using windows 7/ 8 use start up repair

Right click on the open desktop, left click on "view", and left click on "show desktop icons"!
