Do framing carpenters ever use a hammer anymore?

I helped one of my friends build a house a couple of years ago and we only used hammers to nail the wood. But framers use nailguns for everything now. I notice they carry a hammer in their pouch. Why? Is there ever a situation where they actually nail with a hammer? I personally would have prefered to use a nailgun cause hammers are ancient.

To nail in tight spaces where a gun wont fit, to "nudge" a piece of framing to the correct spot before nailing. Sometimes the nail gun wont hit the nail all the way in. And to pull out nails.

You may still need a hammer to remove nails

all tools are not ancient and especially any type of hammer .... OK .. I got your opinion ... nail guns are easy to operate and much faster than driving nails with a hammer == at the end of the day your arm is not as tired with a nail gun ....
