Do Cons understand that elected government officials like Kim Davis must uphold the law, and can't impose their personal religious beliefs?

Update:

For Cons to better understand, imagine if a Muslim county clerk decided to impose his views of Sharia Law because he didn't agree with US law.

Update 2:

If Kim Davis felt so strongly about her views, the correct thing for her to have done would to be resign from her position and protest the latest Supreme Court decision that same-sex marriage is legal nationwide. But she can't just remain in power and go against the laws she is sworn to uphold.

Most conservatives understand that. Most religious people also understand that. There are a small number of people who think the Bible not only trumps the Constitution, but also the religious rights of Davis's co-workers and county residents.

Those that do not (certain Presidential candidates) are pandering for the Evangelical base. Those who are not pandering politicians seem to think that Mrs. Davis's particular brand of faith includes theirs. (Apostolic Christianity is quite clear on that point: all other Christian faiths are in error.)

Pretty sure everyone knows that...the important question is: do you understand?

Also Kim Davis is a Democrat. This has been confirmed by numerous news sources and evidence.

C0ns don't understand there's a difference between political party and political ideology. They don't seem to understand that a Democrat can be a social Conservative.

Kim Davis thinks her personal religious opinion allows her to mistreat other people. No religion does that that I know of.
