what do you think abut having 10,00 Syrians coming into the US?

I think Obama is troll-baiting the Republicans.

By only taking in 10,000 refugees, he's leaving an opening for them to slam him for not taking in more refugees. After all, aren't we a "Christian Nation"? And doesn't Christianity say quite a bit about taking in the poor and the homeless?

So either the Republicans take the bait and argue we should take in more refugees, or they don't and are shown to be the massive hypocrites they've always been.

We easily have the resources to take in 100x that many refugees - and still feed and clothe all the homeless people in our nation. Yet, the Republicans claim this would be "too expensive" while they argue we need to spend more on our military.

you really believe that if you were a senior citizen and have given money out of your pay check every week for 39 years and the government says that it don't belong to you. and you are depend this as a income, and he is letting millions of illegal immigrants in and now other people that he knows nothing about. you wouldn't have any concerns. we're suppose to be busting at the guts now trying to take care of our own people. if they stop social security are you will to take care of a elderly person in your home. I mean really take care of that person, feed them cloth them, take them to the doctor and if they have a serious illness pay for that medication to keep them alive. can you see this too? and this is not back when another president was in office a lot has happened since m. this now. things are different now. there are some places in the world that don't even want to accept our money because the dollar is not even worth the dollar to them. plus if he let them come into our country there might be terrorist in with them. I believe they are already here mixed in with us. and more can come in freely if they are in with the Syrians that the president let come in too. security in D.C is worried about this also. if they are worried we should be too.

I just hope ICE can keep better track of them unlike the illegal immigrants that they have caught in the past. I will not be surprise that a couple of those 10,000 Syrians are not members of ISIS.

The illegals will not like them competing for there jobs. So may cost him some of the Latino vote. Probably why he kept the numbers low.

It's the cost that concerns me. The U.S. is deep in debt. Additionally, there is the security risk. Still, we cannot turn our back to this humanitarian crisis. We have known it was coming since the President "drew a line" but failed to back it up with Syria. So I would have thought great care would have been given to this matter. I just pray we don't clutch a viper to our chest.

Are they paying for their airline tickets? It costs about $500 each, one way, that is $5 million just to get them here. How many did Saudi Arabia take, I wonder.

It is a drop in the bucket. Germany is 1/3 the size of the U.S. and is taking in 800,000.

only 10,00 are coming. no problem. Utah has lots of room.
