Are there any good built-in (integrated) washer dryers?

I am tired of hanging my wet laundry indoors and don't have space for a tumble dryer so seriously considering swapping out my 3/4 year old washing machine (which has served me well to date) with a new washer dryer.

After doing some research, I can see they have got very very bad reputations so have to ask

1) Are there any reliable ones out there (I'm in London), if so, which one(s)?

2) I know you need to run the dryer with a smaller load, but do they actually come out completely dry?

How much do you need to dry in the dryer and how fast do you need to dry it? I have one of these little Panda dryers and I love love love it. It will do about 8ish pounds but it does take more time. It is 110, so it will plug in anywhere, and a mere 44 pounds. The need for room in my "laundry area" prompted me to not only get a little Panda washer, but the dryer as well. I have it mounted up on the wall (it comes with mounting brackets). In the summer I don't use it much, but vent it into my existing vent. In the winter I let it vent into the house and it adds a lot of needed moisture and bonus heat. I'll often set up my drying rack in front of it to take advantage of the blowing heat on other stuff.

Now, can you get one in London is the Million Quid question. They are readily available in the US and don't need special wiring like most dryers here. But, see if there is something similar to a small dryer that can be shelf or wall vented.

As for the all-in-one....I've never heard anyone say anything good about them. My sister in law had one for a few months but she complained about everything coming out seriously wrinkled, even permanent press. She also found it frustrating she couldn't be doing another load while the dryer was running.

    Are Washer Dryers Any Good

When hubby and I lived in a very small house, we had a stacked set; washer on bottom, dryer on top. The ONLY thing I couldn't wash in there was my queen sized comforters.

I see them used sometimes on craigslist.

I haven't owned one but to my way of thinking,if you buy the best brand it should be OK.Cheap brands never work out IMO.
