Is there something wrong with guys having long hair?

I'm a guy and have always wanted long hair. I'm wanting to grow it out past my shoulders and straighten it to have that silky soft straight hair look. Is there anything wrong with me doing that?

Of course not, in this day and age guys and girls are free to wear whatever hairstyle they like. The only thing that could be a problem is if it doesn't suit you, but you won't know unless you try. Look at Jared Leto, long hair on guys is definitely acceptable and in many cases, very attractive. Go for it.

No...many older folks will tell you that "long hair is for girls", but I have also had my share of guy friends who had long hair, and I even go to church with a guy who is close to 50 years old and has hair down past the middle of his back...so no, really guys can wear whatever clothes and whatever hairstyle they want if that is what they think looks good and feels good...I am a strange person though, because I think if a guy wanted to wear a dress and lipstick he can, but I am also a Christian and do not support bisexuality, homosexuality, or transexuality...I simply believe that clothes are clothes and hair is hair...it's not specifically male or female...an example of this is high heels...women wear high heals, but King Louis (IX I think?) was kind of a shorter man and he is the one who made high heels popular (he wore bright red ones!)...so anyway, do what makes you feel good and what you think looks good, not what other people tell you is ok...
