Why do republicans love Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, but not Pope Francis?

I don't "love" either. I respect both.

Netanyahu is a good PM for Israel. That is a country that is surrounded by literally millions of people who want to eradicate them in a second holocaust. They've had to fight like cornered animals to survive, and are criticized for being so successful at it. On the other hand, Netanyahu is a provoker. His support for the settlements is a provocation that helps intensify the war and decrease the already tiny chance for peace. But on balance he's a good PM.

Pope Francis seems like a reform minded pope, and the Catholic church needs that. Mind you. the Catholics are much less crazy than the evangelicals, but there's still alot of outdated silly stuff in catholicism. Francis could do alot of good. But I think he should spend more time reforming inward on his church than outward.

Because Netanyahu is one of the most decent men in the world. The Pope is okay, but I don't know a lot about him. I think he's too much of an appeaser. For certain I don't like the Pope's position on Gore's fake global warming.

Bibi preaches war. Pope preaches peace.

Because Bibi loves killing poor people, starving them, making them homeless, torturing them - including children, and ruthlessly persecuting them. While Pope Francis embraces kindness, charity and good will, and all of the TRUE tenets of the bible.

I lean right, an not a Catholic and think this pope is great. I don't have a problem with his stance on climate change or immigration. Do you have a problem with his stance on abortion or gay marriage?

FOX news showed nothing but the entire outing by the pope today. Tell me they don't like him.

There is no money in peace. At least not for them. They have a lot of investments in war. Or what they call "defense".

Netanyahu doesn't believe in Jesus. But he does believe in bombing Arabs.
