If you can, don't you think short vacations are better during work week than on weekends?

In my experience is that a 2 to 4 day vacation is much better on monday through friday. Especially during summer in the US, relatively nearby, by car(from around 50 to 300 miles). Theres less tourists like yourself. motels and hotels you have your pick of rooms, and sometimes at a lower price. Now if its in a big business city, weekends are best. but i mean like vacations to smaller towns with outdoor attractions, hiking, swimming, famous landmarks, health spas, and just getting to know the locals

A lot of vacation area does offer deals Sunday to Thursday.

That is true for summer town and ski towns.

Where weekends are full, they give deals during the week.

My husband and I would take vacation during the week.

Special if we could drive there in an day or so. So we could stop at different places to make the vacation a bit longer.

i don't consider 2-4 days a vacation. 2 weeks or more is a vacation. maybe 1 week if you don't have the time and or money to travel. what you are doing is just a weekender but during the week.
