I need real natural soil for my garden (not the bagged garden soil sold at Lowe's) .Where can I buy them and how much do they cost?

Generally, the big box stores (like Lowes) get the lower-quality garden products. You're better off going to an independent garden center in your area.

How much depends on what you're getting. If you're planting in containers, I recommend potting soil rather than garden soil or topsoil - it's lighter and will work better in containers.

If you're making a raised bed, you're going to need a LOT and I recommend getting bulk if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg buy a bazillion bags of soil.

If you're trying to supplement your garden, I recommend getting compost rather than "topsoil" or garden soil. And if you have a lot of clay, add lots of peat to that mix.

What you want is called "topsoil," and yes, you can buy that at Lowe's. AKA "dirt." Usually it is around $3 or so per bag.
