From Genesis to Revelation, where is it written that a man should use a marriage ring with his wife?

I haven't seen this in my Christian Bible so please tell me if you have an answer. Should married couple use rings?

It actually came from a pagan custom of a male giving a women a ring to show she was married.

Sometimes putting it in her nose. So it was clear to everyone she was taken. Then it went to the left hand and then men got a ring and so today it is a custom. Not in the bible. Also, slaves wore earings and had pierced ears to show they were a slave. today women pierce their ears and wear earrings. It came down from slaves.

It isn't written in the Bible. A ring is an outward sign of commitment to an inward feeling.

The ring itself is not specifically a part of marriage. It's a traditional symbol of marriage, but it is not required.

It is not specifically mentioned in the Bible. However, the tradition, which goes back to the 9th century AD, (I say 9th century because this is the oldest reference I know of to wedding rings. It might be older) is derived from an old hebrew custom which is mentioned in the Bible, in which the couple and their family would exchange gifts of jewels or gold. Here is an example.

Genesis 24:53 “And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things,”

As with many aspects of Christianity it was common for pagan festivals to be turned into holidays so that the pagan people would more easily convert ( i.e. Easter ) and it is just so with wedding rings. A nod to our pre Christian rituals and habits. https://www.biblicalperspectives.com/books/christi...

the bible doesn't tell us to take a bath every day either
