Statistics Help...?

I need help with these kinds of problems...generally if I get an equation and understand how to do it, I'm set, so I'm only asking for a simplified process of how to do this.

The regression equation relating tar content (y) of cigarettes with CO content x is:

ŷ = -0.6569 + 1.01(x).

Suppose a certain brand of cigarettes has a CO content of 14 mg and tar content of 13.7 mg. The residual for this brand is ______. Give your answer to one decimal place.

    Simply sub in the x (14mg) and find out the predicted y. The difference between the predicted y and the actual y is R-----the residual----how well the regression equation fits that example.
